The province of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba of central Canada are known as the “Prairie Provinces”. The city of Calgary, Alberta is the host to a very popular annual event called “The Calgary Stampede”.
And during this event, they serve this unusual delicatessen called “Prairie Oysters”. Well, they are made in the prairies but they're not the kind of oysters that you might think they are.
They're Cow Testicles!
I have not yet had the pleasure to taste them myself. But if you know someone who’s going to Calgary, suggest them to try it and let me know.
Oh, please don’t send me frozen samples. I heard they taste best when they're eaten freshly made.
